My 3630 worked perfectly, but I didn't need it anymore so i gave it to my sister who is at University and needs it. ActiveSync 3.5 was supplied with device so used that to synch. However, when device is in cradle and switched on, it keeps telling me that no device has been detected and how many ports are available to connect it up!!! I tried all the ports but none help. Someone suggested to me taht it is because I have created too many partnerships, and it just won't let me create any more new ones. Could this be true? I had previously created several (maybe 10! stolen laptops and new computers at work..not my fault!) Is there anything I can do?
Its old
the software and the PDA is obsolete now.
why not ask on a real HP forum.
what do you want to do with it? ??????
Please don't tell us about stolen anything....
the books on this old device, are very hard to find.
google much?

SOURCE: Jornada 565 no longer being seen by ActiveSync?
Occasionally under XP Pro, my 564 won't be recognized when I put it on the cradle to sync. I just take it off the cradle and try again. My understanding is the XP loads an HP driver when the Jornada is detected as connected by USB, if that driver doesn't load succesfully, then XP won't recognize the Jornada.

SOURCE: Removing/restoring partnership
acc to me, partnership once deleted due to hard reset on ur smartphone will not be created under the same name until u delete the same partnership from active sync on pc. To delete the partnership open active sync>file>delete partnership..then create new with the same name with ur smartphone. hope this will help

SOURCE: hx2410 won't connect with the computer, i'm put as guest
Its a ActiveSync that you have on your CD (bundled with u'r own IpaQ) that I think it's suite best, because I've once installed ActiveSync v4.3 (upgrading..), device connection is intermittent, and some syncronizing process fails.
