Ir400 gets ready but when it starts copying the paper stops in the bypass and displays swicth off and on with either E100 or E220 but when scanning , the scanner just shakes abit then doesnt move and doesnt swicth on the tube. please help me out

please first verify scan option is offline and then verify the presence of paper in the casetes

The paper tray is not placed properly leading to erroneous sensing place the paper trays properly

E-100 is regarding laser unit.pl check BD sensor,laser unit or IP board.
E-220 check scanning lamp or CCd pcb.

I will tell you the problem but you need Technician. First try cleaning/replace the flash rom or change tthe Camera together with the CCD Board.

this error is related to exposure lamp , does the the two end of the lamp is blackened. Otherwise the exposure lamp needs replacement

This is due to the output tray you sre using only having a small capapcity sensor what you should do is set it to come out from the finisher unit to the lower tray as this holds more sheets you can check this by looking at the output tray and when it asks you to remove paper see if the top pages are resting on the paper sensor in the tray. good luck A

First of all is it black lines and dark copies or is it like strans of toner on the copies? There is a difference....... One could be the drum unit that is right next to where you put toner in, just to the left of it. It is held in by one scew. It could also be a problem with the fixing ass'y. Is the display say to empty out the waste toner and how many copies are on the copier??? These are all the things I'm guessing on.. Need a little more info...
