    I TRIED BUT WHEN I PUT THE MODEL NUMBER WICH IS BG80000ER IT DOESN'T SHOW UP .

    MAYBE BECAUSE IS AN OLD MODEL. AND I REALLY NEED THIS INFORMATION BECAUSE THE CITY OF HOLLYWOOD SAID THAT THE A/C UNIT INTALATION IS NO GOOD AND THEY PUT ME A VIOLATION ON THE CODE OF THE CITY.

    PLEASE WHEN YOU HAVE A CHANCE TELL ME IN WICH WEBSITE I CAN FINE THIS. I ALREADY TRIED WWW.LGE.COM

HEY,jose, is this a window unit, a split unit , a package unit, a combination heat / air unit,, ect. ect , seem that goldstar only do window units but what co. makes this unit, gold star could be a quality name,Also is this 80,000 btu cool only. window unit ,, split , package ,single phase ,,, 3-phase > Need more informations...

Can I add freon to a Goldstar window air conditioner
Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today. The only time you add freon to an AC unit is if you find a leak and repair it! If its not cooling well you should just clean the front and rear coils.

Air doesn't get cold like it use to. I spray cleaned the unit and it didn't help. Can the unit be recharged? Goldstar model: GWHD6507R Thanks.

My air conditionner is not working properly. It sends cool aire keep getting code E3 What can I do to fix it Tks
micheline, according to the LG Owner's Manual for the Model Number you listed, there is no LED display on the casement window unit (please see the Owner's Manual link below). How are you getting an E3 error code? Or by chance, did you list the wrong model number? Even Goldstar, that is made by LG, doesn't show your model number.

Please advise. Thanks.

Make sure that the unit is properly mounted in the opening (I take it it's in a window) and that it is level or at least not tipping inward as in the outside being higher than the inside. If unsure about how to mount it properly, consult your owners manual. Your installation should be reasonably close to the illustrations.

I recommend that if you have animal and you want to have the unit on all day that is fine if you have an ac unit with a thermostat and it is big enough to handle.  The unit that is in the window is ok if your home but it could cost alot if there is no thermostat because it will run and run and run.  Then if it don't cool the house enough means its not the right size.  The unit / compressor could overload and kick on and off and might not work when you get home and the house will be like a firecracker.   Best bet would be to replace it with a unit for the size needed for the apartment.  It would be effecient. if we can help further just let us know.

YES. make sure the air grills on the sides of the unit can breath and not covered if the grills are covered u will have problems with the unit.
