Hello. I just got a Mamiya C330, looks really nice but I note that the little release botton in front of the camera is inside I can;t take it out. my question is this could affect to take picture or I still be able to take picture with it. thanks.

What does this button look like? If this button is what I think it is then with the front of the camera facing you it should be at the bottom left hand corner. The button should be chrome silver in color and upon closer inspection you should see some threading for a screw. Is this the case?

This button you speak of is an alternate way of depressing the shutter it is also a way in which you can use a shutter release cord to take pictures. the button itself is not meant to come out of the camera. Once you load your film or 2 empty film spools (to test to see if the camera is working properly) into the camera and wind the film crank then you will be able to depress that button and fire the shutter.

I just bought a nice used Mamiya twin lens C3 but the shutter is locked up. There is a small metal piece holding the shutter release from moving. Not sure how to un-lock, seams to be a safety device of...

The vertical shutter sliding lever gets locked if the film doesn't get advanced to the next frame, and the mode selector is set for single exposure. You can't trip the shutter unless you have film in the camera and you forward the film to the next frame. That should allow you to release the shutter with the sliding lever.

I seem unable to open the film back to my Mamiya C330 TLR! How do you do this? Also the trigger button is permanently in. Why is this?

Face the camera away from you so that you are looking at the film back there should be a circular button at the top center just below the view screen look at that, on it should be a little red dot this dot should be facing straight up it it is not then turn the dial so that it is. then you should look just above that and you'll notice an arrow pointing to the right that is the direction in which you need to push the dial so that the film door opens. It should pop open, if not then you need to push the dial to the right and at the same time gently pull out. this should do the trick.

And please get yourself a manual for this camera!! happy shooting.

Can I add a digital back to this camera

It is possible, I've looked into it for my Mamiya 645 Pro and even found a nice used Kodak but bought a Canon IDs Mark II for less money. The backs are hugely priced even used you are looking at $3500.00 or more and if you have a 645E that's way to much money to spend.

After non use when you press shutter release knob thge shutter does not open even if set on B speed

So this sounds more like a lens issue rather than a camera problem.

What you might consider doing is sending out your lens for what is commonly referred to in the business as getting your lens CLA'd (Cleaned, Lubricated, and Adjusted).

I would not recommend trying to do this on your own.

I would like to recommend an online used camera retailer that also has a repair department. The link is this:

Hope this helps.

I have an old mamiya that is corroded and rusted in some spots. It needs a good restoration service. Any recommendations?

I would recommend either:

http://www.keh.com/Repair-Center.aspx

I have personally purchased things from them in the past but never had them clean anything, these guys might be a little quicker and less expensive.
or

http://www.camerarepair.com/

I have personally used them on my c330f with good results.
