My washer (He3t) front loader started making an unusual sound when it started to drain. It never would drain the water and the pump ran for a long time, eventually ending in an F02 code. I kept messing with the buttons and unplugging/re-plugging in the washer, and finally got the spin/drain cycle to drain the water down. However the clothes still had soap in them so I ran the rinse/spin cycle. Once again the drain cycle made this unusual sound and wouldn't drain. I suspect its the pump. I removed the back panel, but the pump appears to be closer to the lower front panel. I have three screws at the bottom of this front panel that I removed, but couldn't figure out how to get the panel off after that, it appears something at the top of that panel is still holding on. How can I get this panel off? We just recently stacked the dryer on top of this washer, so I'm hoping you can tell me how without removing the dryer! Thanks in advance
Hello &
Welcome to FixYa
F02 is a drain error in your Kenmore washer, if
the unit is unable to drain then after 4 minutes it will display sud and then
F02. The first thing that should be done is cleaning the drain hose and the
drain pump filter, you can take out three torx screws from the bottom front
panel and then clean the area completely, lift up the cap to clean the filter.
If the error returns then check the drain pump if it is not working then
replacing the pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any
other questions.
