DVD movies in lifedrive

As soon as I got the device I was eager to copy DVD's onto it, and very quickly bought a 1gb SD card, MMPlayer and Pocket DVD Studio. So far I have had little success with moving a complete movie onto the device. (Of course, this could well be because of my settings). Does anyone have any experience with this software? Any other pointers as to how to copy a complete movie from DVD to the device?

I am a hardcore video watcher (that does not sound right -- I watch video's everyday -- get your mind out of the gutter). Personally I prefer TCMP player over MM player. I do not use PocketDivx as I usually watch programs capture from a TV card or “obtained” over the internet. I do reformat with Virtualdub.

Not able to copy movies on Sony 8GB Memory Stick Pro Duo for PSP

Before you go throwing any old video file onto your PSP, make sure you have the following items:
  • The PSP. This is self-explanatory.
  • The .MP4 video files.
  • Video conversion software to convert non-MP4 files to MP4, the format the PSP reads.

Docs and media onto a LifeDrive with Vista

The problem is that the Palm desktop sfotware that works with the LD doesn't work well with vista so you need to do things a bit differently.

I copy files to sdcards if they are say movies or music in otherwords big or lots of files as it is faster. If I want to copy my documents to the ld hardrive simply plug the LD into the usb data cable and then turn on drive mode. Vista will now recognize your ld as just another flash drive or usb drive device. Copy the files to the hardrive or even the sdcard if its in the slot. You can create your own directories in either place so it is easy to know where your files are.

HP IPAQ POCKET PC

1st approach (Quick one!)

1. Soft reset your device
2. make a backup copy of the folder \SD-MMCard\MSMETADATA if exists.
3. delete the folder \SD-MMCard\MSMETADATA.
4. Soft reset your device once again.

2nd approach (Long one!)

If 1st approach did not work, restore the MSMETADATA folder and try the following:

Step Zero: BACKUP
- Make a full backup of your device (including storage cards). If you don't like to do a full backup keep at least a backup of all files and folders we are going to delete as indicated below:

Step One
-In the main device directory delete the file WMPInfo.xml
-Delete the \Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player\ directory and all of
the files in it including the WMDRM folder.
-Delete the \Music folder

Step Two
-Go to your SD card main directory and delete the file WMPInfo.xml
-Delete the folder \SD-MMCard\MSMETADATA
-Delete the folder \SD-MMCard\WMDRM
-Delete the folder \SD-MMCard\Music

Step Three
-Repeat step two for any other storage cards.

Step Four
-Refresh devices in WMP and the storages card should show up in the left tab
and in the sync window you can click "Next Device"

Hope this helps...

Sansa c240 and memory card

When you look at the media player (i assume you're using Windows Media?) you should see a pane on the right side. In blue font near the top it should say "Next Device." Click that and it should bring up the SD card to sync to it...Also, you could get an SD reader and do it that way...

It depends what quality you need. If you need top quality you will have to go for something else like a dell axim x50v. This PDA should be ok for watching a movie as long as it is encoded properly, at a low resolution that is.
