Remove the six screws from the side of the backup valve and remove the gear assembly and replace it with a new one.

How do I get reverse suction with the electrolux epic 6000?

I have no idea just what reverse suction would be or how to get it from ANY vac. If you're looking at getting the blowing air from the vac instead of suction, then simply move the hose from the suction end to the exhaust end.

Ray vac will not go in reverse, what is wrong

Your backup valve has probally gone bad. You just need to pull this out of the line and take it to a pool store and have the internal replaced. They will do this for just the price of the part in most places.

Ray Vac Pool Cleaner for Inground Concrete: Our Ray vac worked well for years but now it tends...

If your automatic pool cleaner is going in circles, you might want to check your backup hydro-timer. If it is releasing most of the water out of the discharge hoke, you might need to replace the defective jet gear assembly. Also, make sure that the transporter jet is not plugged. Check your hose to make sure that there are not any obstructions that would prevent proper movement.

Ray Vac Pool Cleaner for Inground Concrete: after cleaning out debris from my ray vac my jandy...

What model is it? Is it robotic (indepentdent of your pump and filter)? If it is attached to your pump system, it could be the cord getting tangled and causing the pool cleaner to move in circles. You might want to consider running it when you are available to watch it or getting a robotic cleaner that you can set to operate at certain times. You might just need to check the hose for defects that would cause it tangle.

My Ray Vac is 2 years old. What is their average

You should be able to get your pool shop to rebuild this for you, usually just for the cost of parts. Then you should take it in to them once a year to be checked as prevention is worth more than cure. Good luck.

RAY VAC GOES IN CIRCLES

Change the pusher hose, the pusher jet, and the pusher jet sleeve. These are the first things coming from the end of the unit toward the wall. If you replace all of these parts and it continue to circle, change the front wheel.

I have the problem of the circling Ray Vac. And I haven't seen any solutions here. What's wrong, and what do I have o do to fix it?

PRESSURE is King. After taking apart my entire Ray-Vac and hoses, nothing seemed to fix my circling problem. I finally performed a full cleaning of all my mechanicals, especially the paper filter. I noticed a significant improvement in my water pressure and my Ray-Vac starting running all over the pool again doing her job like she used to. So, the Ray-Vac is very sensitive to water/jet pressure. Check your filter system. You want the most pressure you can get of out jet where you connect the Ray-Vac. This completely solved my problem.

Runs in a small circle

A couple of things to check. 1. sometimes the hose at the back of the head will develop a small hole or crack where water will escape and cause the vac to run in circles.
2. if the head is getting old, you might have enough wear that the little wheels on the bottom stay mostly in one location, pushing in one directon.

Ray Vac moving slow, circles deep end, sticks on side of pool

I have the same problem and the best solution is to repair/replace the hydro timer kit. It has inner gears that are plastic and wear down and doesn't rotate through the cycle of water flo that changes it's direction. I'm in the process of exhaustive repair and I'm going to replace the hydro timer - (inside part only) and then see what happens. Moving the gears did change it's moving patterns tho.
