Where do you insert a sim card into a minolta maxxum 5 camera

Cameras, especially film cameras, do not use "SIM" cards. There were some models of Minolta film cameras that used exposure cards for auto-settings but only cellular phones and devices with cellular interfaces (iPads) use SIM cards. Here's a copy of the Maxxum 5 manual if that helps.

The plastic flash mount has developed a crack as the flash unit is quite heavy - can this be repaired or replaced?

you can try super glue as long as the contacts are good. the hot shoe can be replaced with a good used one as no new parts are available. this could be expensive so get a cost estimate first.

Bracketing in Maxxum 5D

Hey arnelsartwor,
To set both exposure and flash bracketing you need to press the drive mode button, and then use the up/down arrows to select bracketing and then use the right/left arrows to highlight the drive mode option and then press the center button to select the desired drive mode. These instructions are on page 50 of your user manual. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan
