The focus area can be set for Wide Focus Area or Spot Focus Point. When selecting the Spot Focus Point, the DiMAGE A1 can be set "Flex Focus Point (FFP) ".

Digital camera won't focus

I see your camera has a focus area. If you have a subject with enough contrasting parts in this area, the focusing should work fine.
You must know that not every subject can be focused on as quick or as good as you would like. If there are little contrasting lines in the subject, or when it is getting dark or there are dark and light parts in the focus area, that don't belong together, every camera can have problems to focus correct. Changing the ISO settings won't change anything for the auto focus.
But special when you try to shoot in almost dark places, you camera will have lots of work to focus and in most cases it won't work at all.

You could try to place an object with light and dark lines, on the same distance as the object you want to picture. Then by pressing the shutter half, when focusing on the object with much contrast, you can look if the camera can focus. If it is in focus, keep the shutter pressed half way down, while moving to the object you want to shoot a picture of. Once you have every thing in the frame as you want it, press the shutter complete.

I need to change my power supply from 110 volt to 230 volts on my ASUS model A-45GA and can't find a switch

Must not be a switchable power supply then. You will have to exchange for one that is switchable. Not all p/s have dual voltage capabilities.

When switching on camera. pictures turn pink. why

ia mode or not?

is it out of warranty? I noticed that the manual was from 2005.
http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/DMWAC5.PDF

The manual doesn't mention any pink area of focus.

I do not know why the area in focus is pink. That's the first time I heard someone complain about that on any digital camera.

Good luck on this repair.

Wrong icon when selecting dynamic area

The D40 Dynamic area focus starts on the centre AF area then moves the focus to follow the subject.
The camera has followed something to the right and selected the right focus area.
This is normal.

You could select Single Area in the menu and move the area back to the middle using the rear AF Sensor Selector.

I installed an aftermarket radio in my 2003 ford expedition and my amp won't power up nor will my rear sub woofer play.

Do you have a battery positive wire as well as a switchable power wire? Is it properly grounded? Double check for power and ground. Aftermarket radios have two blue wires for switchable power. one for an amp, and the other for a power antenna. Make sure the right one is used.

Is the focus area switchable?

The focus area can be set for Wide Focus Area, or Spot Focus Point. When using the Spot Focus Point, the DiMAGE 7i offers "Flex Focus Point (FFP) " for controlling the position of the Spot Focus Point. This is a powerful tool for off-center subjects.

Focus malfunction

THere is a little switch on the back of the camera, just under the area selection Dpad. Make sure it is not in the 'L' setting. This locks the selected autofocus area.
