Question about Palm LifeDrive Mobile Manager Handheld
TomTom 5.12 is driving me crazy!! I initially installed it to the LD partition but kept getting 'Armcode error' unless I did a soft reset before starting Nav. TomTom tech support said the problem was due to the fact that non-SD card installation wasn't supported & that I needed 5-9 MB of free internal memory. I subsequently reinstalled Nav to teh SD card & opened up 12MB of internal memory but now I am getting "Arm Read: could not allocate memory" error messages when I try to run Nav. I am assuming that the LD's internal memory isn't the same as the "program memory" (dynamic heap??)--is there a way to free up more of the latter?
Actually, if you are using Navigator 5, and you install it on a SD card on the LifeDrive it works fine. I have been using mine since Navigator 5 has been released.

I don't know what it is with those brits but I think they hate us here in the America's. I have TomTom Nav 4 on my wife's T3 and had problems with instillation but could not get support (real person) from tomtom. Did you buy the Nav 5 from Palm's website? I called them and they said that they were making one "JUST" for the LD but didn't know how long that was going to take. If anything if you did buy it from Palm you should try calling them and see if they can help you with it.
