We have a fridgidaire gas dryer model # GLGR642AS2 is not drying cloths. The gas ingites but doen't stay lit. We have taken the dryer apart and cleaned out lint through out the dryer and ventilation. Our cloths take at least 5 hours to dry.
Thanks.

Hi Don,
So let me get this straight, you are getting heat from the gas burner and the drum rotates but your clothes remain wet? You can check a few basic things to identify where the problem lies.. First off, have you checked the lint trap and cleaned it? Secondly, have you checked your vent system ( meaning : are you sure it is not clogged anywhere in the duct or at the end where it exits outside? If that's OK.. when your system is drying clothes.. do you get hot air flow at the end of that duct? If not, your blower may not be working ..You need to move that hot air out of the tub for the system to dry. Heat, Motion to move clothes, air flow from the blower and an unimpeded path via the vent duct to outside.. Hope one of these things to check gets you going. Regards...
