My 2600n has been working fine until recently. It prints with a greenish tent an reds are just a faint orange. I replaced the cartridges (all) but nothing changed.

Before processing the elighment, ensure that all cartridges are genuine one. In printer menu >go to 'system setup' enter>"printing quality" enter > "calibrate color"..enter... after completion of the calibration check the quality of print..

Your laser unit is dirty which will cause your colors to be faint on some sides. This is normally thing and the Printer just needs to be serviced and the laser unit needs to be cleaned. So i would advise taking it to a Service Agent or Computer shop to have it cleaned.

It does not depend on the life of your printer, you may have a problem in your transfer belt.

Print a "Config Report" from the printers menu...If u notice that the fourth square on the left side (fourth being the bottom square) for Magenta (reds and orange) is missing or very faded, this could indicate that the optical mirrors inside the printer have to be cleaned...Design flaw. ESP..if changing toners doesn't work and your your faded issue is with Magenta (Pink, red, or orange) colours are the only faded ones...With this design flaw in the optical mirrors, magenta mirror is the first to be affected!

2600N Optics file on the HP forum page. Or email me at [email protected] and I will send you the file on red color fading. The file says that if you are getting light red fading or orange to use the File I mentioned to resolve.
First of all clean the contacts in the printer for the magenta cartridge, if there is no improvement replace the magenta cartridge, if that doesn't work come back to me
