When I went to print an invoice it came up with"The design specified could not be found. Go to the Form Editor to select another one". I've tried to find this without success. It started when I sent a quote which I rarely do. The customer reported that the ABN number wasn't on it. I tried to check why - opened and closed things without changing anything (I think) and then tried to send an invoice instead as it always shows the ABN. Thats when the notice above showed up

To Print a Database you would require to create a Report. There were many ways of creating reports in Visual Basic 6.0. Hereby I am giving you an example of Data Report.
Printing a Data Report
Printing a data report can be accomplished in one of two ways. The user can click the Print button that appears on the data report in Print Preview mode (using the Show method), or you can programmatically enable printing using the PrintReport method. If an error occurs during printing, trap it in the Error event.
Choosing to Display a Print Dialog Box
When printing a report programmatically, you have two choices: to print by displaying the Print dialog box, or by printing without displaying the dialog box.
To display the Print dialog box

1. Add a CommandButton to a Form.
2. In the button's Click event, place the following code.

DataReport1.PrintReport True The Print dialog box allows the user to select a printer, print to file, select a range of pages to print, and specify the number of copies to print.
Note Printers must be installed on the computer in order to present a choice of printers.

Printing Without a Dialog Box
In some cases, you may wish to print the report without user intervention. The PrintReport method also gives you the option of selecting a range of pages to print, either all, or a specified range.
To print without displaying the dialog box

1. Add a CommandButton to a Form.
2. In the button's Click event, place the following code:

The printer is not meant to use multi-copy carbon invoices. The cause of your problem is the double-feed prevention pad below the paper pickup roller. When the first form is fed, the double feed prevention pad will stop multiple paper feeds. With multi-page carbons, the paper feed roller is trying to feed the form, and is pulling the top page of the form into the feed rollers while the double-feed prevention pad is stopping the bottom form from feeding and the top and bottom pages are sliding because of the carbon paper between the sheets. The only solution that I know of is to buy a printer with a tractor feed and pre-printed fan-fold forms with tractor feed strips on the sides of the forms.

I have had some success by converting pdf to jpg and printing from Adobe Photoshop. The HP 500 ps and 500plus are VERY fussy about paper size conflicts.

1st you cancel all the print jobs from the pc .
In run window type services.msc and the go to print spooler option just stop and restart the service. and also switch off and switch on the printer and try to cancel all the documents form print spooler it will remove all pending jobs.

Two things to consider:

1) The printer itself must be designed to handle reverse form feeds. I am not sure how many these days are.

2) If you're printer can handle reverse form feeds then it should be a simple matter to send the appropriate ascii code to the printer to initiate it. Much the same as if you wanted to have the printer do a line feed.
