Tr3 files are desktop PC files, they must be converted to .pdb files by the TomeRaider desktop program. Changing the file extention does not convert the data to Palm format, it is still PC data.

I have a garmin755t and I wondered if you can down load e books as I have some in my computer from barnes & noble and I can't find my book. Can you down load this books in my garmin if so how?

I have never even heard of this working on a gps unit. Not a bad idea though ;-]

I've never seen any option that would allow you to do this. The files that you can download are map files and saved poi's. I haven't seen the ability to read anything else. The display and such would be able to easily handle it but the software to read a ebook file would have to be loaded into the operating system.

I use a palm to read my ebooks. You can get one of those fairly inexpensively. I have a Lifedrive so I can not only read ebooks but watch movies and listen to music as well as just about everything else I do on my laptop.

Docs and media onto a LifeDrive with Vista

The problem is that the Palm desktop sfotware that works with the LD doesn't work well with vista so you need to do things a bit differently.

I copy files to sdcards if they are say movies or music in otherwords big or lots of files as it is faster. If I want to copy my documents to the ld hardrive simply plug the LD into the usb data cable and then turn on drive mode. Vista will now recognize your ld as just another flash drive or usb drive device. Copy the files to the hardrive or even the sdcard if its in the slot. You can create your own directories in either place so it is easy to know where your files are.

Lifedrive wifi

Does the wifi work at all after it resets? Have you applied the level 2 palm srvice pack to the LD? I believe the update changes how the wifi operates. If you go to www.palmone.com and go to the lifedrive page you should see a list of downloads for it. If you click on the 2.0 update there is a description of how to tell if you need this or if it is already installed. You just need to check the version of one file. Download and install the patch and see if that fixes everythng.

If that doesn't fix it you may have a more serious problem that could require replaceing or fixing the LD

Palm LifeDrive

just press the time in the top left hand corner of the lifedrive and a dropdown menu comes down with the option "delete" but this is only for apps. if you want to delete media files, search for a file manager on freewarepalm.com

How could I speed up browsing?

Blazer does have a cache, but I'm not sure exactly how it uses it. I did an experiment in an attempt to find out how much of a page it caches, but I didn't learn a lot. I went to a page, then jumped to another, then turned WiFi off. When I hit the "Back" button, the LifeDrive refused to open the page without me reactivating WiFi. Still, I can tell the cache is working. When I go to a site with lots of graphics, the first page opens kind of slowly. However, when I go to other pages on that site that have the same graphics, pages load more quickly. So, apparently at least some parts of a page go into a cache, but you can't view it entirely from the cache. Also, the delay in opening pages is often not the downloading of a page, but the rendering of it once it is downloaded. The cache can't help you there.

Music on the Life Drive

I'm positive all LifeDrive users of Pocket Tunes experience the noise distortion between tracks. This appears to be a software issue more than anything, as TCPMP doesn't give you that "static wash" sound between MP3s that Pocket Tunes so nicely provides. So yeah, TCPMP gives a cleaner output. Haven't you noticed? The developer has worked to combat the LifeDrive's audio quirks. The most recent release also subdues similar distortion that would pop up during quiet moments of music, I've read. Honestly, I ditched Pocket Tunes the moment I noticed the crazy between-track stuff. I'm comfortable with TCPMP, and everything I've read on the TCPMP forums suggest the developer is currently working on ways to boost usability (i.e., playlists, what have you). You can add an extra layer of audio refinement to the mix, too, if so inclined; one that allows for entirely static-free music playback on the LifeDrive running TCPMP. Pick up a Radio Shack Volume Control Headphone Extension Cord 42-2559 (http://www.radioshack.com/product.a...duct_id=42-2559). This device acts as an attenuator. Output TCPMP at around 80% (give or take a little, especially when using the preamp) and control the volume entirely with the little "remote." It snaps securely into my LifeDrive headphone jack, adds no tangible weight to my chosen headphone cord, gives me out-of-pants-pocket volume control (great for when I'm walking or on the subway and don't want to flaunt my gear!), and only costs $6.59. Furthermore, TCPMP *does* support AAC. The devloper simply doesn't distribute a compiled binary of the plugin anymore. He used to, but got some heat for it, I guess. Don't ditch your current version of TCPMP, though. Browse the TCPMP forums for users that have created binaries of this plugin from source for people like you to download. I've read TCPMP can use plugins from previous versions, too, but you should find what you're looking for with a little browsing. Also, you can use JHymn on your desktop to "strip" the DRM off your iTunes Music Store AACs, for installation on the LifeDrive, etc. JHymn is a real solution for this kind of situation -- not a transcoder, for example. So, stick with TCPMP. It'll even play Divx movies very well with no further conversion. I just hope it will support background play, playlists and stop blinking my damned HD light at some point.

How do I fix my Outlook Calendar synchronization problem?

Palm tech fixed my problem. It turned out some items in Outlook Calendar were corrupted, thus preventing a synch with LifeDrive. The fix is to export the Calendar items and import them. This process fixes corruption. After doing that I successfully synchronized Calendar with LifeDrive. More specifically. I moved Calendar items to a different folder, thus emptying the main Calendar folder. I exported the Calendar items in the new folder to a CSV (Windows) file. Then, I imported that CSV (Windows) file into the main Calendar folder. Finally,I did a synch and all worked perfectly.
