if the radio is stolen you cannot get the code, if it is not stolen you can go to dealership of car and get it, if it is aftermarket you can call the manufacturer but they will want info on where you bought it so they know it is not stolen
Did you buy a stock cd player from another vehicle? If so, you may be screwed. You usually have to have the vin number of the original vehicle to obtain the code from the dealer. This insures that the radio isn't stolen. If you purchased an aftermarket radio, there shouldn't be a code. If you did buy an aftermarket cd player and it requires a code, what brand? Let me know and I will see if I can help.
call kenwood and explain you bought the radio at a police auction and that you need a unlock code . see most poeple that do this have a stolen radio not saying you did this. you will have to prove you bought it with car some how to them ..
unfortunately you would only have the code if you bought it new, each code is radio specific and can only be obtained by the dealer, if you have the owners manual it might have been written down by the original owner if that is not you
This code is to prevent stolen radios being sold, so the only way to get the code is to go to the local car dealership. You will need to take your licence, registration papers, and proof of purchase before they will release the code to you. But if you bought the radio second-hand, forget it.
you need the unlock code from the manufacturer. I had a radio lock up but the company had me send it to them for them to unlock. i had to prove that i bought it and it was not stolen.
If it is a Eurovox brand you need the pin code. If you dont have the pin code you need the serial number of the unit and you can get the code from a company called Go Technologies via the www.eurovox.com.au webisite. This costs a small fee and the application form can be downloaded from the website.
If it is a Eurovox radio you can enter 1111 if the code is a 4 number pin of 111111 if the code is the 6 number pin. This will put the unit into test operation for about 3 minutes to at least see if the unit works. While in this mode the screen will blink continually.
Radios are programmed to the vehicle and sometimes they won't reprogram into another vehicle. All you can do is have the dealer try to unlock it, but most won't because of radio theft. They need verification of where the radio came from. E-Bay stuff may or may not be stolen.
