Use the resolution button on the top of the camera by the LCD display. One button is for selecting Flash. One button is for the self-timer. The middle button is for resolution. Press the button repeatedly to cycle through the options. One Star for Basic. Two Stars for Normal. Three Stars for Fine (High Quality). How to set for 300 dpi

The dpi is not really a camera setting. The camera should usually be set to the highest resolution possible (4000x3000). This capture size would give a print size of approx 13"x10" at 300dpi. That would be considered a high resolution print. If you were printing at "normal" print resolution you could double that print size.

My Mac will not install the Digital camera Solution Disk says my screen resolution is insufficient...

This must be because you have a widescreen monitor or because you have set a screen resolution that's too low for anything.
Most programs ask for a screen resolution higher than 1024x768 (which they rarely actually need) to install.
So you can change yours to that value (or higher) for the installation and if it distorts your display, set it back to the original value later.
To see how to change your resolution, go to this site; http://www.ehow.com/how_2064940_change-display-resolution-mac-osxchange-display-resolution-mac-osx.html
After setting the resolution to 1024x768 or higher, run the installation and it should proceed with no problems.

How to use change resolution

Hi,

The screen resolution of the Camera cannot be changed. The option in the Camera is to change the Image size which will increase the MegaPixel rate of the Camera. This can also be called as resolution. This can be changed by touching the Image Size icon displayed on the Camera screen. The settings available for Still Image Settings and Movie Image Settings in the DSCT70 Camera are given in the image given below:

In uploading to a website, so that pictures could be printed, a comment states low resolution and the pictures may be blurry when printed. Is there any setting on the camera that I can change that would...

I dont know what resolution your camera is, but make sure you have it set at the highest it can go. The higher the resolution the better quality the picture. I had a 12mp camera but you could set it as low as 4mp which is ok for snaps but if you are uploading or printing then you need to set your camera to a higher resolution if you can. Read your instruction book it should tell you how to configure your settings there. If it is an old camera that cant be changed then maybe its time to invest in a higher mp camera perhaps 8mp 10mp or even 12mp

How can I take high resolution photos on my Panasonic Lumix DMC FS15. I sent some photos to Costco to have them made into posters and was told that I needed a higher resolution photo to make a good clear...

All cameras have multiple settings for picture quality. For example if you email a lot of pictures select a lower resolution. If you have "poster" size prints made select the highest resolution you camera will do.
Go into your cameras set up and select the highest resolution you have. should be about 12MP.
You have a high quality print with that.

Date stamp option in menu will not highlight to change it just skips past it change daye and time

For some cameras this option only works when the camera is set to a specific resolution. Some calle this resolution "Postcard" resolution, and is usually 1200 pixels width. Try setting your camera to its other resolutions to see if this ocrrects the problem. Suggest that you start with 1200 x 900 resolution. Keep in mind that this 1200 x 900 gives only 1 megapixel resolution. Most newer cameras are capable of taking much higher resolution pictures, so this may be a trade-off if you want to use the date stamp option.

Enlarging file size of pictures

That camera shoots at 7.2Megapixels at max resolution, that should print an 8.5x11 without any issue.

Check the settings on the camera to make sure that you've got it set to take "high" resolution, and not "low".

In the settings, there should be a resolution option that you can change. It's likely set to take lower resolution that what the camera can actually handle.

Canon Rebel EOS - Pictures download read Low Resolution

Canon Digital Rebel cameras let you set the image resolution from small jpegs (low resolution) to large jpegs (high resolution) to RAW (best quality, but require post-processing in your computer before you can print them). It's possible that as you were getting to know your camera you accidentally set the image size and quality to a low setting. Now you just need to change it back!

You make this change in the on-screen menu, under the camera menu (first menu, with a camera icon), first item (Quality). Although Canon no longer has the manual for this camera online, you can see This Review Page for more details on where to change this setting on your camera.

I want to set the resolution of my digital camera. How do i do it?

Not all digital cameras operate the same for resolution settings.
It's almost always done within the menu under settings. If you have the manual, look in the back index under "resolution". Otherwise just access the menu and scroll through it, you most likely will find the resolution setting item.
