Check display without cabinet maybe motherboard getting short with cabinet and try new Power supply check all the power supply connectors connected or not .

Beep Code Descriptions


1 short beep Normal POST - system is ok
2 short beeps POST Error - error code shown on screen
No beep Power supply or system board problem
Continuous beep Power supply, system board, or keyboard problem
Repeating short beeps Power supply or system board problem
1 long, 1 short beep System board problem
1 long, 2 short beeps Display adapter problem (MDA, CGA)
1 long, 3 short beeps Enhanced Graphics Adapter (EGA)
3 long beeps 3270 keyboard card

Make sure you have your card installed correctly in your PCIe slot, it should hook in. You also have to hook up power supply. This card requires minimum 450 watt power supply and 600 watt power supply if using crossfire and dual mode. If your system meets these requirements, and you have card seated properly and hooked to power supply. You may have to enter your bios and dedicate the PCIe slot. I'm guessing the system will boot without card.

You need to check and find out if you do have standby +5vdc at the power supply connector, if you do and the the Red indicator on the front is not on, then you have the problem in the main logic board. Post back what you find.

Hi there.
Rocket Fish RF-550wps PSU is standard ATX power supply.
Dell tend to use their own power supplies which differ slightly from standard power supplies.
I suggest you take or send the Rocket Fish RF-550wps PSU back as it won't fit and order one from Dell themselves, at least then you will have a guaranteed fit.
Once you have your new power supply from Dell (or a Dell ATX power supply) it should be easy to fit in.

Do you get a POST beep? If not, then it is possible you ended up with a dead mobo... manufacturing defects do happen, and ASUS will be happy to replace it for you (they're quite good with it, actually).

If you do get a beep code, could you please post what it is?
