I bought a NP F960 battery for my pd150, its the big mamma 12 hour battery,
it has been used twice through on long shoots and is now completely dead. will not charge or power the cam.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? it is out of warranty and these bloody batteries arent cheap.

Re: PD150 battery problems
Sony has had a few large scale recalls of Lithium Ion batteries in the past 3-4 years or so. I have a feeling that NPF960s may have been involved.
Best idea would be to contact an authorised Sony service centre and quiz them about it. You may score a free replacement battery out of it, even if yours is out of warranty.

What a smashing camera, you luck S - D I would love a camera like that, take good care of it okay? anyway the green problem is that the last person to use it has left a Built-In filter turned on in EA menu, once it is switched off you will be okay, have great fun I know you will with that. take care, David
This case sounds like really dirty picture and sound heads in camera and tape kept sticking so exposure was on each part of tape too long. Keep camera heads shiny and clean by buying camera tape cleaner. David
Hi, Click Here to download service manual that contains instruction manual too for DSR-PD150 You need to download all 12 files (parts of 2 pdf files) and use WinRAR to unzip it. You will get 2 pdf files as required manual. It is Free.
dear, this problem is related to the head drum of the camcorder as the head drum gets dirty ,this problem does occurs but using cleaning tape wouldnt help much, asu need to clean the drum assy manually.
It seems to me that if the monitor speakers have both in and out jacks, they intend to pass the power through to the speakers for the audience. Connect from the amp to the monitors and from the monitors to your regular speakers.
