The light indicates either a paper jam or a problem with your cartridges (probably due to low ink or faulty). To identify and fix this issue, please follow the steps below:
- Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder.
- Grab a flashlight and look inside the feeder for any debris or foreign objects.
- If feeder is clear, place the printer back on the table, open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.
- Check the cartridge area for any obstructions/debris in the cartridge carrier's path or the paper path.
- If cartridge area is clear, close the cover.
- Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power outlet to reset it.
- When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first.
- Close the printer cover and check for any errors.
- If no error appears, reinsert the other cartridge. Close the printer cover.
- Replace whichever cartridge is causing the error to appear with a new cartridge.
- If there's no indication of any problem, try to print a document again.
If problem continues, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for additional assistance.
