Question about Philips Nino 320

System upgrading Okay, just bought 2 Philips Nino 300's on eBay. I already had one for 3 years but I cracked the screen. The problem is, I have gotten used to my HP Jornada 568 but that was killed by a lightning bolt (I have no luck). So, while I am saving to have my HP Jornada replaced, I want to use this Nino again. Can I upgrade to PocketPC or am I stuck with Windows CE 2.0?

You cannot upgrade the OS of the Nino 300. There are however some patches available (bugfixes). btw ... struck by lightning??

I had the same problem with my TV. It was a horizontal problem with different shades of color, and black spots. I replaced my Upper & Lower Y-buffer boards. Your Y-sus board should be okay since it still powers on the screen. You should replace the Y-buffers Upper & Lower, and it should work. I hope this helps.

Nino 500 and WinCE 3.0?
You can't update windows on Nino. Nino has non-flash rom so one way to change the windows is to change the rom-chip. A few years ago the rom chips were avable from Philips until they had discontinued Ninos in '99.
