Wow i thought i just answered this one. Check the filter and be certain its clean then If it has a hose for a drain make certian that it is not kinked . if not just make certian that he unit is tiled to the ouside about 1 inch or so. also this is a small unit so close the doors to all unused rooms and check to be certain that the fresh air vent is closed . some times called outside air as well. Hope this helps let me know.

Why does it keep spitting out water?

Air conditioners are also dehumidifiers. It is normal for water to come out the back of your AC unit. If the AC unit is not installed level or the drain is plugged, water can go where you do not want it to go.

Why is my air conditioner spitting water back in the house. These do not have ourside drains on them?

Take the front cover off and use a shop vac to suck the water out, check filter while you do this see if the evap coil is dirty the one on the inside. sounds like it maybe freezing up. check for air flow.

We just purchased this ac 3 months ago. Water is FURIOUSLY spitting out of the front of the unit when it is turned on - help!

Make certain the filter is clean then make certain the unit is tilted to the outside about 1 inch or so. If this unit comes with a drain hose check to be certain it is not punched . If it does not havea drain hose you might have to pull the unit out a bit ot access the drain pan and wash itout a bit if possible .. Hope this helps let me know jon

Haier air conditioner just bought it a month ago.seems the water isnt draining fast enough out of it.i have it tilted pretty good but keeps spitting water out the front

Hi,
The newer units do not have drain holes or they have them plugged and you need to knock them out...if there is a knockout it will be in one of the back corners outside...

The newer units are made to evaporate the water and so they do not drip...but in very humid conditions that does not always work effectively...

You can also drill a hole in the pan in the outside back corner, but BE CAREFUL to NOT drill into the condenser coil!!!

I have had many calls to repair coils for this reason!!!

Window air conditioner is spitting water

Hello, usually a window AC will spit water if the unit is not tilted back or if the drain is backed up, if the unit is level try tilting it back it the window somewhat. Also, if the unit does have a drain make sure it is not blocked.

Wall-mounted air conditioners freezing and spitting ice.

if they are freezing up and only 2 months old there is probably a lack of air flow look in the manuals for maintenace and clean the air filter

Spits out alot of water!

It needs to be installed sloping slightly outside. It is not meant to be level. Use boards or whatever to do this. If this doesn't solve the problem the drain channel is plugged. Take off the outer case and look at the bottom there should be some kind of channel from in front to the back. Use a turkey baster or something to flush it. The back may be fairly deep to hold some water. Don't drill a hole. Some units keep some water in the back so the outside fan can throw it through the condensor to help cool it.

Dehum

Dehum is short for dehumidify. This setting is to remove the humidity from the air without doing any real airconditioning. Also, if the a/c is spitting water out the front, then the a/c is leaning forward too far. The a/c should be at least level or maybe leaning toward the outside a little bit to help facilitate drainage.

Troubleshooting

first I would check your air conditioner to see if it is tilted backwards it should drain to the back (outside) . also check to see if the evaporator tray is clear of debris. if it is pluged up water may back up.. let me know and if this don't help we can go deeper..Thanks
