Vizio VX37L HDTV10A no picture or sound
Vizio logo glows orange when plugged in; turns white when power button is pressed; backlight is lit; no picture (other than faint glow from backlight), no sound; once powered on, tv does not respond to any other button presses on console or remote, including power button; only way to turn off is to unplug tv.
So.... is this a problem with the main board, the power board, or other? How can I fix this?
I know this is already asked, but I can't find the solution to the problem.

After having a Vizio for 2 and a half years. I
left the room for a minute, i came back and the screen went black.
There was still power to the unit and you could see that the back light
was working, just no picture, no sound, and you couldn't use any of the
buttons. The only way to turn it off was to unplug it. It would then
start up, with the Vizio logo going from orange to white, and then do
the same thing all over, no pic or sound.
HOW I FIXED MINE:Look through the back vents for a white light to make
sure the backlight still works. I ordered a new "main PCB" from
tigerdirectparts.com
(you can also use searspartsdirect.com). This is the circuit board with
all of the inputs on it (hdmi, cable, etc.) I opened it up,
disconnected the old one, put in a new one and now it works fine. I
used
both serial numbers on the board to search for it online. It cost me
$144 to do it, but that's better than $450 for a new TV. My tv is the
vx32l hdtv10a. I hope that helps.
For me the part number was either (depending on the vendor) : 0171 2272
2174 or it was 3632 0212 0150. Check your circuit and see if any of
those numbers match up.
this sounds like a main board failure but a defective power supply can mimic some symptoms of a bad main board. I would recommend you get a diagnosis done on the set. If I was a betting man, I'd guess the main board
Try changing the input device to something you are sure works. Switch off TV manually, switch off power, remove plug and retry after 48 hours. If problem persists, please refer it to a qualified service technician.
HERE'S THE FIX: I just went through this with my Vizio VX37L. TV is stuck in RGB input. This is the fix....
TV is stuck in RGB input.
(option 1) Power on TV, and press the INPUT button repeatedly and rapidly until you can change to a different input, such as AV.
If that doesn't work, try:
(option 2) With the TV off, press and hold the INPUT button on the side of the TV for about 5 seconds. The TV should power on and the input list will appear. The TV will no longer be locked, and the INPUT button should function properly after that.
