Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console

Sonymy son has changed language on his PS3 to french and i think it it is telling us the system is damaged but now it will restore the system but keeps stopping when it hits 12% any ideas on how to get back to original settings

First, use google translate to try and figure out exactly what it is telling you. if the system is indeed damaged and keeps exhibiting this behavior, remove the hard drive and see if that makes a difference. You may have a bad hard drive.

Change language fr french to english!

Hi There,
The method used depends on the version of Windows you are running.

You can right click on the task bar (where the running programs are shown along with the start button) and choose Toolbars... ' Language Bar. The language bar will now be shown, and you can click this, choose settings ' Add... and choose English.

If the language bar option is not available, and you are running Windows XP, open control panel and choose "Options régionales et linguistiques". From here, choose the second tab and down at the bottom there is an option to change to English. It will ask you to logout (it may be in French) so click OK and when you log back in you should be set to English.
If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, open control panel and choose "Options régionales et linguistiques". From here, choose the third tab and there is a button to install/uninstall languages.

I recently bought a nintendo DSI for my step son..however the language is in either korean or japanese! i cant tell the difference! is there a way to change the settings to english?!

On the Nintendo DSi Menu, use the stylus to select the Settings ("wrench") icon.
Select the right arrow thee times to go to page 4, then select "Language."
Select from the options options on the screen:
- English
- Fran?ais (French)
- Espa?ol (Spanish)
Select OK (the bottom-right button) to confirm and return to the System Settings.

Keyboard accidently switches language settings

Just press alt+shift simultaneously :)
You should see the language changed in the bottom right corner.

Son set wrong language - how to change?

I have some problem with language. I have downloaded Pes 2008, which has only french language. Cant set others. Also have downloaded NDS file from btjunkie which say EURO MULTI 5. I placed that in instalation folder but dont work. Help pleaseeee.

My hp laptop,the menu and settings is all in French and I need it to be back in English.

Language settings should be in the Regional Settings in the windows control panel. That of course could be a little tough for you if unable to decipher French. You could perhaps use the system restore utility to roll the system back to a point before the language got changed, but you could lose any recent files you may have saved as well. And since you're probably stuck in French either way, it's probably better to "wing it" in the regional settings. If you can get "English" selected that way, shut down and reboot to make the change effective.

Procedure
1 Touch 1. System Initial on the Key Operator Mode Screen to display the System
Initial Setting Menu Screen.
2 Touch 2. Language to display the Language Selection Screen.
3 Touch ENGLISH, FRENCH, SPANISH, GERMAN, or ITALIAN
4 Touch OK to complete the setting and return to the System Initial Setting Menu
Screen.
5 Touch RETURN to restore the Key Operator Mode Screen.
6 If no further changes are required, touch RETURN to restore the Basic Screen to
perform copying operations
