V8 vantage. remote wont unlock car or boot. When unlock car with keys, engine wont start, seats dont move. advice please.

Possibly a broken wire/ bad connection.
Check under the wing behind the stone guard.

apparently there is a battery disconnect button that needs pressing.

Year make and model. You may have a inoperative door lock actuator.

Behind drivers seat, under the storage cubby hole

Its sounds like a sticky boot lock it wont be the remote, open the boot with the key and spray all around the lock and lock mechanism with WD-40 then lock and unlock keep repeating unlock, lock using both the key and remote it should free off.

Be sure to use plenty of WD-40 on the underside of the boot lid into the mechanism dont be shy with it.

You need to press the battery restart behind the seats in the interior of the car, hidden in a recess at foot level

i have a similar problem with my V8 Vantage and have still not been able to find out what is wrong with the car, it first happened around 6 months ago and happened every sort of 3 weeks however now it happens almost every other day.

i have since then checked all the earthing points on the car underneath and they have been cleaned to make sure there is a good contact, i have also fitted a brand new Engine Start Button but still had no luck. I then went and spent almost £250 on a new start motor however the problem is still there.

I turn the key and push the clutch down and when the Engine Start Button turns red nothing happens, there is no noise or anything.. however this never happens in the morning, it only happens after the car has been driven.

Have you had any luck finding out what the problem could be?

First open the boot. Pull down the panel on the righthand side and remove the electric tyre inflator. Behind here is an ecu...check the plug has not come adrift
