format the memory card with a software phone.. Insert the sd card into software phone(eg nokia 6120c, 5800, 5233 etc) Select settings > data mgr > memory > options > format memory card..
Hello, You can try to remove the media card and have it inserted to a card reader and plug in to your computer. If it won't work, the card might have been damaged during the drop and and might have shorted.
You need to get a reader/writer like this one; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as... I use this one because it support all the latest formats. Older readers might not read the SDHC (High Capacity) format and you don't nead that. Pop the reader into a USB port and the card will show in File Explorer just like a hard drive. Right click it and select Format. Go with FAT32 format for most storage cards.
Post back if it is not working we will be happy to help you. Hope this helps. Cheers!!!!
try SanDisk 8GB microSDHC Memory Card with a card reader and check whether there is problems, and also try the card with other mobiles and find whether there are problems, if there is a problem we can understand that the card is destroyed , you can replace the card with other one now.
Sorry to hear your problem.
I have a Blackberry Curve that did the same thing to me. I had a 8gb
micro SD in there for a few month and suddenly all my data was gone . I
also could not reformat disk either. Never fixed the problem ans was
forced to buy a new card.
Some questions to ask are:
How old is the second disk?
think of your daily patterns are you going around some area or working around something that could damage your card?
again, sorry for your misfortune. I thought my feedback would let you
know you are not alone this happens to these memory cards and it it
hard to pinpoint to problem.
try one more card and monitor your daily routine, x-rays, airport scanner, high magnetic areas all can do damage. Otherwise it may be the phone.
I recommend upgrading / replacing the system software of your Black Berry Bold 9700. The latest BlackBerry Bold 9700 system software is available through here.
