Problem with palm tungsten E2

After using for 3 years recentli appeared on the screen a message that said fatal alert in relation with documents to go of my files in MS words and AFTER THAT it was impossible to used the key words and numbers because they dissapeared. Palm service said that I have to do a total reset but this was unesufull.

Thoroughly flush (delete) documents to go using the tool below and then reinstall.
Worked for me two times over the past two years when my E2 has gotten sick.

you gotta do a hard reset. i had the same problem. go to the palmone website and look up how. make sure you back your stuff up in case you can't get things back. once you perform the hard reset the error should go away.

Everytime I use the search fuction I get a fatal alert message

Make sure you have over 25% remaining space on your HandHeld and try again. Otherwise try a hard reset: Hold down the power button and click the reset button.

Fatal alert memorymgr.c,Line:3732

Just happened to me after installing ThinkOffice. There is a reset button just below the labe "Made in China" on the back of the unit. Hold that button in with your stylus.

Fatal Alert

Though Docs to Go is supported by Palmone, it is still a 3rd party software and will jam your unit like you wouldn't believe. I reloaded mine 15 times before I gave up and quit using it. The Fatal error is an all out jam. The Docs can even duplicate themselves and yes you end up dumping the program from your e2 and reloading before it will work again. The e2 is good and I made mine do internet wirelessly but could never whip Docs.

Fatal Alert problem

We prayed and asked God to save the data even though we had to do a hard reset. Data was preserved entirely! For this we give thanks--and praise.

Unable to hotsync with my computer

Also, if you have a new Tungsten E2 and there is no important data, I would hard reset it and then when you sync it, select the old profile of the previous Palm to see if that works.

The new Palm you have, is it a Tungsten E2 as well?

The profiles don't always carry over between different models.
