I have a sony nw- a805, and when i try to play music it says " connect to compliant software or device and transfer songs". my music is in mp3 file formate so i don't understand why it won't work?

Once u lost ur music library in the computer u cant retrieve the data from the device. Always update the software to the latest.Dont go for the Connect Plus it stupid and u will not reach anywhere. Go for Sonic Stage is also from Sony. If u have still connecting probs data might be corrupted. Do the initialization

Which is the softw r u using to sync with? use the Sonic Stage to Sync with its from Sony only. Dont u have the back up in ur laptop?
