Some models dont have screw so you will need a putty knife to slide under console on each side an push the clips inward and lift up on console. Once you have removed the screws or the clips lift the console and allow to flip upside down and the support hindges on the back of washer. Disconnect the quick connect the clips into another quick connect Brcketed on the frame. Unerneather you will see a quick connect with wires running to the lid switch. Remove the two phillips screws that are under the lid holding the lid switch in place. Remove the 3/8 inch nut holding the ground wire next to lid switch. There are also two hindges the hold the wires inside the lip of the frame. Pull hinges towards you enough to allow the wires to come out. Install new lid switch with the two phillips screws from the old one. Reconnect the 3/8 inch grounding wire to frame. Insert the wires back inbetween the hindges to hold wires. Snap the quick connect into the frame from underneathe. It can only go on one way. Once you have the new lid swtch installed than go back in front of washer. Place the cabinet back in place. Push the lower lip of the bottominside of cabinet back under lip of frame of washer. Gently tilt the cabinet back into place. Take your hand and make sure the glide (white plastic strips ) on the back frame line up and than put the gold hinges back in place. Than do the other side. Make sure its stable. Reconnect the lid switch quick connect. Place console back into place and make sure its snug. Put screws back in place. Now standing in front of washer. Tilt washer towards you to reset the self leveling legs. Now lift the lid and start your washer in spin cycle. Close the lid and open it until the basket returns to normal stopping mode. Keep doing this it usually takes 5-10 times increase speed of basket each time ( have lid closed longer for faster speeds). When the basket breaks are reset you will hear the breaks engage and the basket slowly comes to a stop. If you see it jerking or breaking hard The break package is not reset yet keep trying to reset. Once the break package is reset and the lid switch works good than its laundry time.

Future knowledge: Lid switches go out for a few different reasons. If you drop the lid and it hits the lid switch hard it can start damaging it. Wear and tear using your washer will wear them out over time. Most common is the dropping of the lid which breaks lid switch over time. Thank you for taking your time to reason this How To and I hope this helped you in your task.

How do I re-install the idler pulley belt on the drum?

Instructions
Things You'll Need:

* Duct tape
* Putty knife
* Phillips-head screwdriver

1 Unplug the LG dryer power cord from the dryer outlet. Pull the dryer out two feet from the back wall so that there is room to raise the top panel.
2. Place duct tape over the edges of a putty knife blade. This protects the finish of your dryer while using the putty knife. Insert the putty knife blade in between the front and top panels, three inches from the right corner. Feel for the spring clip with the blade, and lift up on the right corner as you slide the blade over the spring clip. Repeat the process three inches from the left corner. Lift the front of the top panel straight back toward the rear wall.
3. Open the dryer door and remove the two screws on the lower lip of the dryer door opening with a Phillips-head screwdriver.
4. Remove the two screws on the top edge of the dryer front panel with the Phillips-head screwdriver. Pull the front panel away from the dryer enough that you can access the door switch wiring harness on the left side of the cabinet by the door.
5. Grasp the white wiring harness connecting to the door switch on the inside of the front panel with your fingers. Squeeze the locking tabs together and pull the harness away from the door switch. Pull the front panel off the dryer.

I have a Kenmore 90 series dryer. I want to clean the lent that has accumulated. I want to remove the lower front panel to do this. How do I remove that panel

Get a putty knife or flathead screwdriver. There are two clips between the top panel and bottom panel about 3 inches from the corner. Push your screwdriver/putty knife straight in and it will release from the top. Give a little pull. There you go!
