Tip & How-To about Cell Phones
A PUK code (which is commonly called as PIN Unlock Code) is required if a GSM SIM card was locked after entering the wrong PIN code three times in a row. Entering a wrong PUK code ten times in a row disables the SIM card permanently. Both the PIN and the PUK codes are supplied by the operator, but only the PIN code can be changed by the user.
This problem is very common and most users think that it's related to phone or it's phone code problem, which is not true, it's only with your sim card and is for security reason related to sim card security. That particular sim card will never work on other handsets. We can't use software or hardware or other tricks or methods to unlock it, the only solution is from the Service Operator/Network Operator. Well, some service providers like Airtel has sms facilities to get the PUK code by sending a unique text message, but most providers don't have that facility.
If you keep entering random codes/unknown numbers several times (maximum ten times), your sim card will be rejected or blocked and will be unusable permanently.
Your only solution is to call the Service Provider (Network operator's customer care), ask them to give you your puk code, they'll promptly give it to you after few queries to make sure you are the right/true owner of the Sim Card. (there's no fee or charge as well, and if you call from the same network's sim card number to the customer care, you'll not spend/pay a penny, and of course few service providers may charge). You'll be given instructions on how to enter and change the PIN2 code by the Customer Care representative/s.
There's no other alternative, or no other options that you can get the code from, so don't play around, instead make a call to the customer care of the sim card network operator and get the code.
I wish you good luck.
