Tip & How-To about LG enV3 VX9200 Cell Phone

Problems with LG EnV 9200 shutting off randomly.

This may not be a problem directly related to your phone. I was seeing this and took my phone to Verizon, When issuing a replacement phone, they took the SD card out to put it in the new phone and it did it again. The problem was related to the memory card, Not the phone . Tech also said that the battery causes this as well, because the battery is not flush with the phone. Try removing memory card first if you are experiencing this problem. Especially, if it seems to relate to pics or music.

What service provider is on my phone?

Look at the applications and see if you find any apps related to the service provider (i.e,. My Verizon Mobile - this would be Verizon). If this does not work, look for a app that tells you about your account data - this should give you the information your are looking for.

My phone froze when trying to delete my text messages, I took the battery out, waited for a minute, put it back in and now when I turn it on it just flashes the LG Logo. Nothing I've done has helped at all. Is there something wrong with the phone??? Please help!!

The problem is that the phone just needs a moment to work to delete your messages. Put the battery in and turn on the device. Then just set it down and allow it to work. Give it about five minutes and it should be done!

I have a Samsung Rogue that I got about 4 months ago. Recently, it has been acting weird. It shuts off randomly, and sometimes doesn't send or receive text messages. I have also had a few incidents where I charged it fully and the next day i woke up to a dead phone. Verizon doesn't seem to sell the phone anymore, so I was wondering what they would do if I took it to them. Would I be allowed to select a new phone less than the cost of this phone? Or would they attempt to repair it themselves? Thanks in advance.

Verizon has discontinued the Rogue. I loved it, at first, and I have grown to dislike it. It has lots of issues with sync-ing - blue tooth & USB connections. I have had trouble with mine charging from time to time as well. I had to have it replaced the first month I had it because touch screen stopped working. What I have found through trial & error - the best thing to do is to turn it off, slide off the back, remove battery for a few minutes and then put it back in (kind of like a control alt delete on a computer) - if it freezes up on you - try that. The other thing I was just told by a rep last week @ store is to charge it from wall, when possible, not through car charger or plugging it into usb on a computer(computer doesnt recognize it anyway - so that is really the only purpose of the USB port built into the charger) - I believe the Omnia is the replacement version that Verizon is offering in place of the Rogue. I think there is a strong argument to make with Verizon that they should HAVE TO replace your phone at NO COST because the Rogue is discontinued & the sold you a phone with KNOWN compatibility issues with Windows 7. - Whatever phone they do give you - they can sync the information onto the other phone without even looking at it & can delete all your personal information off of the Rogue. I watched them do it when they replaced my Rogue & she didnt even see the information that was transferred - so if its privacy concerns - you do not need to worry. I would love to hear how you make out - as I am fairly irritated with the USB/photo/non compatibility issue & intend to make the same argument in the very near future.

My curve keeps freezing on me. I took it to verizon and they said to take the battery out and it will stop. Well, as soon as I put it back it....the hourglass just spins and spins....and it usually takes about 5-10 mins to come back on. then is starts again

Mine does too. Or it just reboots for no good reason. Very frustrating as this is a relatively new problem for me. I just downloaded the most recent software upgrade. Don't know if it will help but will monitor this posting to see if anyone has some solutions.

Hinge broke on LG VX8350 Phone

I had the same problem with my VX8350 and when I called customer service they told me the same thing, but then I took the phone to a Verizon company owned store and they replaced the phone for free as it was a know problem with this model.
