How to Recover your system from the Cyber Security Virus

It is best to try to remove this virus that pretends to be the Windows Security center before you start the operating system using either an Antivirus OR Antispy boot CD.

I created this SpybotSD BootCD a few months ago unzip and burn to a CD-RW I will post later versions when I have time.

If you have either Norton Ghost v12 or v14 I have created this script that will auto-generate the latest antivirus definitions onto a CD-RW feel free to use it, just boot the Ghost CD first then when you are ready to use the inbuilt scan for virus option within ghost remove the Boot CD and replace the one my script generates.

There is Nortons own Antivirus 2009 boot CD available but you will needthe correct version serial number to make it work here is the downloadlink for recovery_nav_x86.iso however with the serial this is useless I suggest my Ghost method as most people have this boot CD or if not should have.!!

This is the name of a common ScareWare virus.
Boot in safe mode with networking. By repeatedly pressing F8 as the pc is booting. (if you see the windows logo try again)
One in safe mode download and install spybot.
Run a scan and you should be good.

windows security center can't be started and when i turn it on in the security center to automatic, it's solved but after a minute, it seems disabled agai. please help me! are this sort kind of viruses?

Windows security center monitors checks if you have a firewall and anti-virus solution and also checks if automatic updates are on. Below is a screen capture of what it should look like, if it is titled different or looks quite different except for options being off instead of on you have a bug.

I have removed plenty of bugs from computers with users who use lots of Facebook apps.

If your anti-virus software does not find anything try these steps.

Run system restore and pick a restore point before problem started.
If system not working (which is likely if you've got a bug) you will need to restart in "Safe mode" to do that keep hitting F8 when computer restarts

Once restored run windows update, update antivirus definitions (if you don't have one microsoft have a free one "microsoft security essentials") and then run the windows Malicious removal tool. To this go to start menu select run and enter "mrt" and hit enter do a full scan.

If security center still not working go to control panel - Administrative Tools > open services. Find the security center service double click to bring up properties check service status; If not "Started" then change startup type to manual then press start button and then exit out.

When I wanted to install microsoft Essentials 2011 an error occured 0x80040705

It sounds like you have the "Microsoft Essentials" virus. It is a virus that "pretends" to be a valid security product. "Microsoft Essentials" is just the latest name for it.
Turn off you computer to prevent further damage. Use someone elses' computer to make a bootable antivirus CD you can use on your computer to scan and remove the virus(es).
Here are the instructions and free download: http://www.avg.com/us-en/avg-rescue-cd

If you computer still has problem after removing the virus it means that the virus damaged some operating system files. If this is the case, Google "repair" "windows" and whatever version you are running like XP, Vista or 7.

Once you are running again you may want to avoid Microsoft Security Essentials. The real product is not a virus but is known to slow computers to a crawl. If you want a good free security product try AVG free, Avast free or Avira free editions. Here is a good resource for finding the best: http://www.av-comparatives.org/.

If this helps please vote for my solution.

For you to remove Virus from your Laptop, you must have an Antivirus software running on your laptop. I will recommend Avira Antivirus, its know to remove most viruses. Download the free version, install it on your laptop and run a virus scan on your system with it. This will remove the virus from your system.
