If you accidentally delete a folder in Outlook that was created automatically by your IMAP settings and still exists in your webmail, here is what to do. In Outlook, in the bar above, click on the FOLDER tab, then click "IMAP Folders". Type in part of the folder name that you are seeking (case sensitive), and let it find that folder and list it below. Then click that folder name and SUBSCRIBE to it, then click APPLY. Then close that child-window, and then close Outlook. Now reopen Outlook, and that folder will be in your folder list with its contents.
In Outlook, I had gone to empty the "Junkmail" folder that had come from IMAP. But I accidently deleted the whole folder. When I looked at the webmail online, the folder was still there accumulating mail items. So I had to figure out how to reinstate that folder to Outlook.
