The article regarding the dismantling of a glass fronted Xerox monitor misses one important detail. When placing the back of the monitor on your lap, the bottom edge, BELOW the switches should be slid up in the direction of the top of the monitor. Approx 6mm. DO NOT attempt to prize the glass off the base like I did, trying to follow the previous instructions. To replace, place the the glass on the base, approx 6mm proud of the top edge of the monitor, then slide the glass downward to lock in to the lugs. The two rear screws then simply hold the glass in place, The fixing lugs act like a bayonet fix. Drop in then slide down. I hope this helps with this repair.
