Tip & How-To about Heating & Cooling

How to clean your ducted air con filters?

Now, shall we talk about how many times a year you are supposed to do it?
Think: at the start of every season, I should at least have a look at them and assess.
Chances are you won't like what you see and won't need additional motivation to start cleaning them right away.

When should I replace them?

From the moment you can spot some holes, wrinkles or can't see light through them, you have to replace them.

How to clean ducted systems filters?
1.Unscrew the frame.
2.Unhinge the frame and pull towards you. This should expose the air filter.
3.Gently slide the filter off the frame.
4.Either hose down the filter outside or run it under the tap in your laundry sink until all the dust is removed. You should be able to see through it clearly now.
5.Flip the filter and hose down the other side to remove any remaining trapped dust.
6.Shake off any excess water and leave outside to dry naturally.
7.Once it is completely dry, re-fit the filter into the frame, close it and tighten the screw.

How to install engnie freeze plug 90 toyota celica st

Hi, are you talking about anti freeze, if so it goes in the engine coolant in the radiator, check the manufacturers specifications for the correct ratio of anti freeze to water for your climate, which I assume changes from season to season. In winter you may have to use 100% anti freeze for the coldest times of the year.

Won't start. I don't think the spark plug is firing. What should the gap be?

i dont think plug gap is your problem .the machine only gets used once a year but yet it has gas in it all year round and that gas does go bad with time, so i would suggest you replace all the gas, if its a 2 stroke you need to mix it with 2 stroke oil the spark plug just needs drying use a cigarette lighter to burn off the wetness at the tip if plug is two seasons old you might as well replace it cost maybe 3 dollars and you eliminate guess work

My Homelite mightylite blower vac starts but won't stay on unless choke is closed down the unit is only one season old. The unit is supposed to be in warranty for two years but Homelite said not the carburetor??? I do have the reciept from Home Depot Model UT08550 Tom

The unit is under warranty. The person you talked to must be new. Find a warranty service center in your area. Take your receipt with you and they should be able to take care of it for you.
