Don't Be Fooled By Fake Brown Sugar

There are allot of brown sugar products that are Molasses and white sugar processed together to make it look and taste like brown sugar. If what you're buying is real brown sugar the only ingredient should be brown sugar. This is especially important if you're looking to avoid white processed sugars in your diet.

I added the sugar to the flour mix instead of to the wet mix will it still turn out ok? For lemon zuccini bread


It will turn out okay, but it may have small brown spots on it. This is because the sugar didn't dissolve in the wet mix. In the dry mix, it will tend to caramelise the sugar granules. It will still taste great, but now you know the science behind it :>)

what ingredients go in white bread


Bread should only comprise or the following

Bread Flour which has a high gluten content
Yeast
Tepid Water or Milk
Oil
Salt

Then you need something for the yeast to feed on. I use honey, soft brown sugar or molasses. Molasses is good in brown bread. You can also use tomato paste. If you make brown bread use 2/3 white flour and 1/3 brown.
