Toro won't run

All,
I thought my carb was shot, so I replaced it. Still, start but no run (and had to use starting fluid). THEN!!! I noticed the spring to the "rev limiter" (just below and towards rear of carb) was not "tight". The ****** bracket that holds the end of that spring had been bent down ~1/16" and that caused all this heartache. CHECK YOUR REV LIMITER!!!

Inverter gen won't start without starting fluid...but will keep running once started.

Check the compression. If low it will have difficulty starting.

I don't think my tiller is getting any juice to the sparkplug. I changed the sparkplug and air filter, checked the oil and gas, but it still won't start.

disconnect the kill wire on the motor and then see if you get spark. If so its your switch, if not it either points or electronic coil or regular coil or condenser problem did you gap the pints correctly and was there a problem b4 you changed the points.
