the storm and or power surge that got your directv box got your tv also. put in a better ground for your power outlet get a battery backup and buy a new tv.
These flat panel tv's all have a problem with bad leaky capacitors. look for any capacitors ( round cylinder shape with a metal top) that have the top rounded over (bulged up) that part would be bad.
