Windows Server 2008 Network Driver for Proliant ML350 G3

Anyone who has tried loading Windows Server 2008 on their Proliant ML350 G3 has found that HP does not offer the network driver for this system.

BUT, the Windows Server 2003 driver for the NC series Broadcom 1gb will work! Rather than choosing the 'install' option, choose to 'extract' it, then via the device manager, manually install the driver from that location.

Go the website of HP, chose for the support and drivers - lookout for drivers and software - enter your product name i.e HP Proliant ML350 5G Server and click on search.
You will get the list, select your product. Select the operating system you are using on your server - then choose the driver type - click suitable, from the list of drivers and download it.

i have installed windows 2008 server on HP ML 350 G3 and has refused to see the network

Hello, This could be many thing that causes this. 1. I would check the network properties to make sure the network ports are configured correclty. 2. Make sure the network services are turned on. 3. Make sure you have install the latest service pack for server 08 and your network drivers. Once done, reboot.

Hi, Have you checked the BIOS? Check the Backup ROM option (change to Backup ROM)
If you haven't change the Boot Order: Go into RSBU and change the Order.
Note: If you have Scsi you do not need to do any additional things rather than this. If your product has a Smart Array Controller, during the POST, press F8 during the Smart Array controller ID to access the configuration utility, delete and re-create the disk array to wipe out whatever might be on the disks.

iTS NOT LOADING WINDOWS

If it is not booting at all then the disks will not be configured. Better boot the server using the HP utility CD and install the OS after creating the right array and partitions.
