Setting the clock on an Alpine CDE-9872 or CDE-9874

It's because your resolution(size) of your desktop is larger than the resolution(size) of the picture. If for example you are running a resolution of 1280x1024 then a picture with the dimentions of 1280x1024 would fit perfectly and not be stretched. If you want a smaller image to be centered and not stretched then right click on your desktop and go to Properties. Then click on the Desktop tab. To the middle right there is a heading that says Position. Click the little selection to Center. This will center a smaller image instead of making it all blurry and stretched.

I recommend adjusting the sharpness. Check your owners manual on where the sharpness adjustment is within the menu system.

If you have a very large TV (32"+) and have regular cable, it's because the channels are not in HD. The image is being stretched across a larger surface which will cause them to look blurry if not in High Definition.

FixYa won't allow images larger than 150k, so that's why this is a little blurry.
