"cyber shot" is famous for the shutter getting stuck,,,

The shutter on cyber shot is famous for the shutter sticking..gently pull the shutter forward. Turn off and it will rest itself. Mine does this about once a year.

Its due to slow shutter speed setting.
If you want to take moving object picture, set high speed shutter, there would an icon of golf stick that is for moving object pictures.

Camera shutter not working
Lens is sticking / stuck.
try gentle pressure to help pull out - if that does not work then try pushing lens in and powering on /off a few times.
keep trying!
I had the same problem - eventually got round it.

Sony Cybershot DSC-W50 shutter will not open
turn on when lense comes out take by end of lense and gently twist and pull you may here a click but do not force it. then turn on and off again this should solve the problem .

try gently pulling and twisting the end of the lense and i mean gentle dont pull till it pops than switch it off and on again and you problem should be solved

Sony Cybershot DSC S650 Memory stick not formatting
Well I have the same camera.
And mine won't turn on.
Suggestion dont trust this camera.
Or maybe it just can't hold that much memory.
