Tip & How-To about Canon PIXMA MX340 Wireless Office All-in-One InkJet Printer
This is an extremely frusrating error that shows up on Canon Pixma printers. The error is usually accompanied by an alarm light and cannot be resolved by placing paper in the feeder itself.
The Canon literature and even Canon support comes up short in how to resolve this and I am going to demonstrate a very simple fix for this issue.
1) Lift the cover of the printer to expose the scanner glass.
2) You will see a long white bar underneath the cover with two tabs perpendicular to it.
3) Pull on both of these tabs until they are fully extended.
4) Your printer should now function and the error should be gone.
