The on off switch broke
***Disclaimer*** If you are under the age of 18 please get a parent or an adult to supervise please. This repair calls for a Hot Soldering Iron and or another hot heat source to melt plastic. You can be injured and nobody wants that.If it broke on the copter itself you may be able to remove the switch and replace and resolder. If it happened on the remote open the remote and remember to keep track of how many screws and whee they came fromonce you have the top cover off get a small screw and heat it while holding it with a pair of plyers or hemostats, not red ht but hot enough to melt into whatever remaining plastic is left of the original switch. If NO plastic is left then you have to eaiher replace the switch itself, requireing you to find an available swith and resoildering it onto the board. Good Luck!
The helicopter is always crashing
Remember MOST of these helicopters are made for INDOOR use because they are very susceptible to ANY type of gust of wind so if your trying it outdoors dont blame yourself to much kiddo. An listen these things arnt as easy as they make it out to be to fly. It DOES take quite a bit of practice and a good understanding of aeronautics. I suggest you do some research on how a heliocopter actually flies its vastly different from an airplane although the principle of lift is the same the way they separatly achive lift is very interesting. The greatest thing about these types of toys is the opportunity they provide to educate yourself through learning how to fly them and equally important how to repair them! Have fun and keep it up you will get better!
My stinger, which has been working fine for the
No, unfortunately the remote has a small plastic stop and spring to hold tension to the stick and to return the directional to 9 point. Once this is broken it neds to be replaced. Now that being said I had been told "NO" many times and went McGyver on these things and made them work so never take 'NO" as th answer. I suggest you open it up making sure to keep track of all your screws as well as where each screw came from and see if you get creative!!! Remember plastic responds well to heat! Can be reshaped and is very malleable. Prove me wrong and then post back and show others how!!!!
Lower rotor does not turn
There should be a very small screw to tighten it up. Be careful, these things seem to be MADE to break!
How do you remove and replace the main rotor on
I just experience breaking my 1st main rotor and replaced it.
What you need are a pair of needle nose pliers and a hair dryer.
Put the hair dryer on "HOT" and blow on the rotor plastic shaft for
about 1 minute. Then take the needle nose pliers, lightly clamp
them on the plastic shaft and lift. It should slide off the metal shaft.
Next I took the hair dryer again and heated the replacement rotor
shaft for about 1 minute and pushed in on the metal shaft with my fingers.
Hope this helps.
Help to controll the Havoc Stinger
Practice on a smooth floor inside. Use only a little bit of power and slide and twist the helicopter around the floor without taking off. You will, after a lot of practice, learn to steer the helicopter much better without crashing.
