The disc is probably scratched, if it is I would recommend buying the game again. If not then see if any oher discs are not working if others are messing up as well then it may be an issue with the wii.

Most consoles are made with different coding between the US and internationally. Is you have a US Wii you cannot plat European games and vice versa.

This will depend on a few things. 1. If sky landers is the only game that will not work then it is likely that it is scratched or damaged in a way that makes it difficult to read. You can buy special cleaner for your cd to help with this if the damage is moderate to minimal. Or use a home remedy like tubing a banana on the side to be read and wiping it all off with a microfiber cloth and giving it a quick rinse (never submerge) and drying. The banana fills in some of the scratches. 2. If you wii has a hard time reading any disc then you should buy a cleaning disc meant to go inside the wii and clean the reader. Direct3D 6? Wow, the game must be way older than your computer. You probably installed DirectX 10 or later. There were major changes after DirectX 9. The software routines to manage graphics hardware acceleration through DirectX 10 or newer are probably very different from DirectX 6, so the game's graphic controller interface can't find them. Try going into the game properties (right-click on the main executable file and select Properties from the pop-up menu). Set it to run in XP compatibility mode and see what happens. Check to see if the game has the option to run without hardware acceleration. If this provides acceptable performance, that is your answer. If necessary (and if Microsoft still makes it available), try installing DirectX 6. Vista may snag on it and make you remove it and reinstall a newer version, but it's worth a shot if the other fixes don't work.
