Or move the speakers that are next to the phones doing the paging.
It feeds back because the speakers are loud, and are blowing the sound into the mouthpeice of the phone that is paging.....
Lucent Partner Mail VS - need cordless phone
Each of the modular jacks at the cabinet will accept a single line telephone. I don't think you can "bridge" a phone on 12 year old software, but if there is a spare jack, it will work with a plain old cordless phone. Plug one in, dial 10, and read what extension you have. Here's a manual for a 4.1 Partner system to help you program the ringing. Programming is done from the display phone at extension 10 or 11.

After you find the extension, save yourself the trouble and go to page 447 of the attached pdf. It details how to set the Automatic line preference and ringing of the cordless. The difference is that you will select your lines AFTER the intercom as in ** LIC RIC 1 2 3 4, or 4 3 2 1. This is important! You'll then be able to dial "9" to get an outside line in forward or reverse order and still call internally.
If you find you don't get an outside line when you dial "9", then keep reading the manual, you need to put your lines in groups.

Can't login to voice mail.
You will need to restart your phone system. Unplug black cord. Count to 5 and then plug it back in.
If that doesn't help because password is unknown you will need to login to adminstrative mailbox and reset password on the mailbox.

You only have to guess one, the system administrator's. By default, it's 4321. Once you get it, you can add,delet or reset everybody's password.

When you log into the admin mailbox, before you press the "9", press 7 instead, it will tell you the release of the voicemail.

Which Partner voicemail do you have? What password do you want to reset? A user or a admin????
Do not know how to look through the caller id
You have to have a few programs already set. In admin programming, you will need to set #316, #317 and #318. Then you need to program a log button on the phone, which is Feature 23.
When you hit the log button, you then will see the options to scroll through the calls.
When prompted I can't leave a message in any mailbox.
Having to reprogram the system every time has nothing to do with the voicemail. The battery in the preocessor is bad, and not holding the programming telling the phone system where the vociemail is.
The partenr mail VS might be going bad. You can try to reset it, but then the system loses programming.
