I would replace the high/low switch and the reverse switch. One time a replaced the high/low switch and the reverse switch quit on me 2 weeks later.
You can also get the Peg Perego Gator Shifter that upgrades the vehicle.

If the battery is completey drained or very low the charger will get hot to the touch, The charger put out 14.6 volts and then trickle down to 13.8 volts once charged, i would check the charger with a multimeter and check and see what kind of volts its putting out. if the battery is bad the charger wont think that it has completely charged it and will continue to push 14.6 volts into it

-Take the two screws out located beside the back of the seat.
-Pull the two plastic bars out of the back (that go up to be the rack)
-push the two black tabs in UNDER the rear fairings (they are hard to find but they are actually a round pipe that has a cut-out of it acting as a tab) push them in and it will pop right apart.
-on one wheel remove the black cap in the centre of the rim.
-grab a hammer and give the axle a good whack. Enough to get the safety tab to move off the end of the axle.
-pull the axle out and remove the three screen that are right behind where the wheel was.
Thats it!
-three more screws on the gear box will allow you to replace the motor.

you have a bad motor, whichever side isn't turning you need to replace that motor

do you hear a clicking noise when it stops?

remove the hubcaps with a flat head screwdriver, and then use a 13mm sockets on both sides and remove the nuts

check the charger with a multimeter and make sure that it is putting out at least 13.8-14.6 volts

i know that the wires that go back to the motors are red,blue, white, black

check the battery with a multimeter and make sure that it is putting out at least 12 volts

pop the hub caps off with a flat head screwdriveruse a 13mm socket on both sides and loosed the nuts, then pull the tire off of one side at a time without pulling the axel off, then put the new tire on and then the washer and nut then hubcap

check the battery with a multimeter and make sure that it is putting out at least 12 volts

check the wires on the back of the shifter switch and make sure that they are all connected
