NEC Dterm DTP 32D-1 Corded Phone - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Dtp 32d manual
The DTP phones work on at least 8 NEC systems, so please mention which one you have. Pro II, IPK, IPK II, Elite, SV8100, SV8300, SV8500, 2000, 2400, or one of the more run of the mill systems. Some vendors have PDF versions on their website if you Google the specific guide you need, and add PDF in your search.
I think the ringer is off on my NEC Dterm 80
Ringing is assigned in system programming, so if your phone doesn't ring you can't change that unless you have person on site who works on the system at that level. Some places use the night mode feature to make certain phones ring in day mode, and others to ring in night mode. Not very likely but sometimes the mode gets switched at places who don't realize they have another mode, suddenly only 2 phones ring instead of ...5. Feature,80,Feature, is the code to switch back and forth on a Pro II, an Elite, and an IPK system. This would be done at the reception phone. These phones also work on several other systems so don't know if this works for you. Or maybe you set Do Not Disturb, which would keep your ringer off.

say you want to call someone at 2430 ext. but it takes you to 2340 that would be phone interupt extention box
the phone company who installed the software should come out and make sure the extensions are to the correct offices its there service but you pay for quality service to know and see it works
to send back calls just transfer back to secretary switch board the secretary will know what to do
NEC DTERM SERIESI
You may be right about it coming from another extension! If that is the case you need to return the message by pressing the key, finding out what extension is ringing and answer the phone otherwise the message will never be returned and the message light will stay on.
Quite an annoying feature with many phone systems. Nobody ever uses the feature and people have no idea what's happening when someone else accidentally presses the wrong key at the wrong time.
Need help with re-setting time, date etc - haven't got a user guide or manual
If your telephone system is an NEC IPK, Pro II, or Elite, you should be able to go to extension 100 or 101 and dial Feature 9 and enter the new time. To switch between am and pm, press the Recall key after you enter the new time. If your extension numbers do not include 100 or 101, this should work from the 2 lowest extension numbers. The type telephone you have can be used on other NEC systems, and these instructions will only work on the ones I listed above.

How do I delete all auto attendant messages including day/night mode, opening inbox, schedule 1, schedule 1 intervals a/b/c?
The steps to delete auto attendant messages, including day/night mode, opening inbox, schedule 1, schedule 1 intervals A/B/C, will depend on the specific phone system or software you are using. However, here are some general steps you can follow:
Access the auto attendant menu: This is usually done by dialing a specific extension or accessing the system through a web-based portal.
Navigate to the message management section: This section may be labeled "Greetings," "Prompts," or "Recordings," depending on your system.
Select the message you want to delete: This may involve listening to the message or selecting it from a list.
Choose the delete option: This may involve pressing a button or selecting a menu option.
Confirm the deletion: Some systems may require you to confirm the deletion before it is finalized.
Repeat for all auto attendant messages you want to delete.
It's important to note that deleting auto attendant messages may affect the functionality of your phone system
NEC SL1000 Internal Calling not working
There could be a few different reasons why this is happening. Here are some things you can try:
- Check the extension settings: Make sure that the extension in question is set up correctly in the NEC SL1000 system. Double-check the extension number, ringing pattern, and other settings to ensure that they are all correct.
- Check the phone: Try swapping out the phone itself to see if the problem is with the phone rather than the system. Test the phone on another extension to see if it behaves the same way.
- Check the wiring: Make sure that the wiring for the extension is correct and that there are no loose connections or broken wires. Check the wiring all the way back to the PABX.
- Check the programming: Check the programming of the system to make sure that there are no conflicts or issues with the extension in question. Look for any programming errors or conflicts with other extensions.
- Check for system errors: Check the system logs for any errors or messages related to the extension in question. Look for any error messages that might indicate a problem with the system or with the extension itself.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be necessary to contact NEC technical support for further assistance.
