One of our Meridian Modular

Mostly this happens when the unit has been used by someone else. Most fairly used units or refurbished units encounter this. Mailboxes are meant to be for rivate use therefore when a password is set on it the feature 983 do not work on it because a password has already been set.
Usually what i advice is for you to take it to the dealer and make an official complaint often times they would replace the system processing memory and once this is done although all previous information on the unit will be lost but you wont have the problem of a locked mailbox. Other than this unless you find who put the password and ask them what it is. This problem could also have been caaused by poor programming of the unit initially.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

Hello. Can I make the

Of course it's possible, however, you need to turn off Auto Set Relocation. I'm not sure if it's an Administrator or only an Installer function.

There is a trick....and I've never tried it because I HATE ASR, if you unplug the old phone, move it to the original location, and wait at least 5 minutes, then unplug it from the original location and plug in the NEW phone before you plug in the phone you just unplugged, the new phone will become the old extension and your original phone will be unprogrammed. It also says you have to wait at least one minute before you can change the DN of a new phone, but that requires INSTALLER access.

Like I said......

I have a 1987 Meridian

From the idle 7310, press FEAT *2 the button and dial their extension.

If you get a nasty notification, like Denied in Admin, or Set Locked, you'll need the system administrator password and procedure to unlock the phone..

I just bought a

A defaulted system has 2 lines assigned until you program them. It's programmed from the installation manual of the phone system. There, under Terminals & Sets, you tell the system how many intercom paths, whether it's handsfree, and how many lines are assigned. Once you fill in all the information, you can Copy the set to all the other sets and you're done.

There is no dial tone

Does it work on handsfree or with the handset ? It should work for one of those. Make sure your handset isn't plugged into the headset port on the bottom of the telephone. If it's still not working, change the handset and curly cord with one from another phone to test if that's the issue. (but then the Handsfree should technically work)

How do i program my nt8b20af-03 with an extension

If you plug the telephone into an activated (connected to the Norstar System) telephone jack, the lights should begin to blink while the phone boots-up. The system automatically assigns an extension number. To see what the ext. # assigned to the phone is, press "Feature * 0" (Button Inquiry) and press an intercom button. This will display the ext, # and Set Name of the phone.
Good Luck!

First of all, make sure you're plugged into the headset port of the telephone and not the handset port. Pressing the Handsfree button should change from handset to headset. You can't use the speaker phone with the headset plugged in.

Code for date & time

Depends on which system you have. M7310 is just the phone model which is compatible with all norstar meridian systems.

The easiest way (which only works on one of the phone system models) is to dial Feature ** TIME
and use 23646 as the password. If feature **TIME doesn't work for you, it might be best to do it with someone over the telephone since it can be slightly tricky.

Hello. I have a M7310

What? They are either programmed or not programmed. If the button is blank, I'm voting for NOT programmed.

If your system is old enough, it's probably lost the backup battery. Ugly things, like pulse dial and only 2 lines are what usually happens, along with losing all of the button mapping but your 2 lines and the default programs of LNR, CONF, etc.

If it's just one phone, there's no magic recall. You'll just have to reprogram it. Same with the system if you've lost everything, but I"d call a repair tech first to fix the battery on the software cartridge.
