I have a 24 volt 5000 watt pure sine wave inverter that keeps tripping. It has 28.6 volts going in from the battery and 115 volts going out at 8 to 12 amps any suggestions.

It sounds to me that you have a load that draws too much from time to time. If the inverter will run without a load without a problem, try adding loads one at a time until it starts to trip off. That should give you an idea as to what the problem is. It could be that there is a problem internal to the inverter that causes it to trip prematurely..

OR you could just use the inverter and 1 battery for 110 volts?

Your inverter has a peak of 3000 watts rating and should power that hair dryer. Make sure your batteries are in good shape. The inverter can only put out what it takes in. 1800 watt demand on the inverter requires 1800 watts from the batteries. Having issues with my laptops

You will need to either mount the inverter further from where you are using the laptop or shield it enough to get the laptop out of the "arc" of the power generation.

Now the problem: The inverter does produce heat so you can't mount it in an unvented box.

You are dealing with the same problem as the high tension power lines, that has a radiation zone, and you either need to cut back the zone or move it further away.

If it the inverter was modified in any way, then they might not have gotten all the shields back correctly.

I have a 1250 watts

Let us look at the math. 1250 watts at 120 volts is w=va Watts equals volts times amps. Or in this case 1250 divided by 120 volts = 10.41 amps. But what is the 12 volt side capable of drawing. 1250 watts divided by 12 volts. 104.10 amps. This is more than what the average cigarette lighter or power port can provide. So, yes you need to connect directly to the battery, you can use a relay rated for 100 A in between the inverter and battery to control the power to the inverter. I would use a good #2 copper welding cable for the power leads. Now, if you are not planning on using the whole 1250 watts, then you can use a #4 welding cable (it is very flexible) for power leads.

Hi. I have a 5000 watt inverter in my truck. The

A 5000 wat inverter is very large. Your alternator could not supply it alone without the batteries. The moderate to low usage is the key. Calculate the wattage of the load you want to connect. Depending on what else you're doing with the truck, lights, heater, air condition etc, you could probably draw somewhere between 1,0000-1500 watts on that alternator. Rember even if your alternator is rated for 150amps (large alt) it is not a 100% duty cycle. Alternators are usually around 50% duty cycle, so figure about 75amps continuous, or around 900 watts. That's considerably less than your 5,000 watt inverter. Buy a generator.

I need to install my inverter 18 feet from my battery

a very thick one,,,like a baby battery lead on your car,,,its a very bad idear to have it so far away from the battery point, you would be far better off finding a closer place to put it as the volts drop off would have a big drop in out put on the inverter,,,also thats one big mother of a fridge to use 3000 watts????
you need a small power station to run it,,and if it do use 3000 watts your inverter is far to small to do the job, read the out put plate on the inverter,,it says 3000 watts max? not all the time,,,,thats about 2000 watts realy running contently and the whire to feed the inverter will need to carry about 30 amps so your car battery is say 90 amp hours plus the volts drop off, you would be lucky to have the inverter running for 3-4 hours before your battery go's is very flat on you!

Want To Install a 1250 W Power Inverter on a Class A Motorhome

You are definitely on the right track. When you choose your power inverter consider the following: buy the inverter for around 40% more of your anticiapted load. You will need a double pole transfer switch to isolate the inverter from the generator(and visa versa). A simple double throw double pole switch with fuse or breaker protection should do it. You wouldn't necessarily have to isolate the curbside circuit as the double pole double throw switch would simply be switching the power from the existing generator to your new inverter for only the roadside circuit; i.e. you don't need to worry about the curbside power source as it will always be connected to the other branch circuit. Even if your generator or other source came on the system would be protected no matter what the the roadside configuration was set to as only one source of the 2 roadside power sources would be connected at any give time to the roadside circuit. The six dots represent the connecions for the double pole, double throw switch; shown supplying the new inverter to the roadside circuit while the source from the existing generator or inverter is disconnected via this switch from the roadside circuit:

existing * *------* new power inverter; switched to source
* *------*
^
Middle 2 dots represent your roadside circuit and represent the "throw arm" of the switch. Safe and simple! If you don't have a voltage meter for your batteries you can purchase one for a few bucks. Just run it across the terminals so you will know battery condition as it is being drained (you may already have this indicator) You can find a transfer switch at an electrical supply place, maybe even Lowes. Make sure you get the switch that will be in a protected enclosre. The enclosurre can be purchased seperately if you can't find the switch/enclosure package together.

Good luck....gary

Aims 5000 watt inverter troubleshooting

The amp meter on this unit measures the battery current. So if you have an 8 amp load at 120 vac you will draw more than 80 amps at 12 volts and 40 amps at 24 volts. While this may not explain the 180 amps that you are seeing -- it's possible that the dryer is drawing more than 8 amps.

The water has shorted it out. Water and electronics is a BAD mix. OLP (Overload protection indicator): Indicates the inverter will shut down due to a short circuit or overload protection. the inverter cools down, the indicator will turn off automatically. Feb 14, 2023

KEB F5 Inverter error E. OH Error overheat power module this alarm always sowing how to solve this problem. Please help me

Error E. OH (overheat power module) on a KEB F5 Inverter indicates that the power module is overheating. This can be caused by a variety of factors, including a malfunctioning cooling system, a faulty power module, or a problem with the wiring or connections. To troubleshoot the issue, you can try the following steps:
  1. Check the cooling system for any visible signs of damage or malfunction, such as a clogged air filter or damaged fan.
  2. Check the power module for any visible signs of damage or malfunction, such as burnt or damaged components.
  3. Check the wiring and connections to ensure that they are secure and properly connected.
  4. Check the F5 Inverter's fuse and circuit breaker to ensure that they are functioning properly.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, it's best to contact a professional repair service or the manufacturer for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose the problem and recommend the appropriate repairs. It's also a good idea to stop using the F5 Inverter until the issue has been resolved, as continuing to use it may cause further damage.

Hypertough 750-watt inverter, display-voltmeter problem

Most likely the battery volts are displaying correctly. There is a voltage drop on the battery due to its internal resistance, when you connect a supply the voltage drop is less. If you were to put a new battery on it it might reduce the voltage drop, as long as the battery is designed for the current load it's taking. If it's working I wouldn't worry, but if the voltage continues to drop with use I'd be thinking it needs a new battery. (Assuming the battery is charging correctly)
