You can check the facebook privacy settings for applications, it might be blocked for words app, so that's why you can't access the facebook friends through word.
the only way I know is to clear all recent locations. You can only select individual locations to clear from the favorites. Open maps, tap on the search bar, screen changes to show the common category icons, directly under is RECENTS and under that is Favorites. Tap on Favorites even if has 0 places. A list opens with a menu bar at bottom for Favorites, Recents, Contacts. Select Recents. You then get a Clear button and Done button at top of screen. Clear will remove all Recents. Only Favorites offers individual selections. We can only hope Apple improves this in a future release. I have not checked google maps - maybe it's more user friendly in this regard.

The only way to remove the Icloud lock is to contact the previous owner and have them provide their Icloud information ( user name and password). passwords are case sensitive, so the problem is possibly just that you have capitals in the password and these are not specifies when entering the password into the iPhone
