if it won't trip it, the on pin is not lining up right and u need to take it off and put it making sure it is right. if that's not it u got a bad timer

my suggestion would be to replace the whole thing, if that gear is wore out. it would get ruined again run against a wore part. I would say you will be fixin it constantly just replacing gear

T1975 I am going to try my best to tell what I think u should either way. if u are using the NC to make the sprinklers run when the timer engages and turns power on. you hook the common wire to the clock side along with the wire for the NO to the same terminal. the other wire hooks to the NO or the NC contact

if u just have the 3 wires there: white, black, ground(can b bare or green). usually the white is what they call a switch leg and it can be hot there in the box. u hook the white and the black to the terminals and the ground to its terminal, if it has on. you should be ready to go, if not u can't contact me and I can walk u thru is u can take a pic of what u have it would b very helpful.

Place green tripper at ON time & red tripper at OFF time. Twist timer dial one or more times until current time of day is aligned on pointer. When twisting timer, the trippers should actuate the manual knob on and off each time you make a full turn. Make sure trippers are fully inserted so that they engage the "catch" of the override knob - if not they will not cycle power to the output.
